The Polynesian Cultural Center sells its afternoon and evening across several package tiers, and the two best-known dinner options — the Aliʻi Lūʻau and the Gateway Buffet — are close enough that it's worth being clear which one a given ticket actually buys. What the Aliʻi Lūʻau includes
A guided tour of all six villages from noon, the Huki canoe pageant and a canoe tour across the lagoon, then the Aliʻi Lūʻau buffet — imu pork, fresh fish, a poke bar — with live Hawaiian music and dance, a flower lei greeting and the imu unveiling, followed by Gold-tier seating for HĀ.
What the Gateway Buffet offers instead
The Gateway Buffet Package is a separate tier built around the Center's Gateway Buffet dinner with live music in the Gateway dining room, paired with the villages and Silver-tier seating for HĀ. It's a simpler version of the same day, and it books as its own package rather than as a change to this one.
